About Us
Hope Special Children Centre is a NGO established in 1989, to provide early intervention programs for children with special needs as well as work together with parents in their efforts to help their special child develop and live independently.
The founder, Darriel, is a special education teacher and alternative therapist with more than 25 years of experience working in different children centre and homes. His compassion started after his visit to one of the home for special children. There he saw a little girl who has severely deformed limbs being placed in a box; but she has a ‘smile of an angel’ for visitors who stop by to say ‘hello’ to her.
The plight of that little girl has greatly touched and changed the life of Darriel so much that he decided to dedicate his time and resources to helping children with special needs. He focuses on alternative approaches where conventional ways does not work.
Today, Hope Special Children Centre has become a friend to many parents of children who have Autism, Down's syndrome, Hyperactivity, Cerebral Palsy, Walking problems, Speech problems and various learning difficulties.
